Every Day Heroes

With the wide range of continuing care retirement communities across Arizona, we are often asked, “How are you different?”

The answer comes easy: At Fellowship Square, our Christian, non-profit structure attracts kind, service-oriented people – both staff as well as residents.  It is evident in the outstanding and caring service our staff provides and the wonderful, supportive friendships that our residents form with each other.

During the pandemic, this point of difference is shining more brightly than ever before.  Our staff are going above and beyond in every way to protect the safety and happiness of our residents while providing peace of mind for their families.

We are here for you and your loved ones – every single day – not just during a crisis. Our staff are not first responders, they are “every day responders” and all heroes.

Throughout the pandemic our community consistently monitored and implemented all guidelines provided by the CDC, Arizona Department of Health Services and the Maricopa County Health Department.

Our staff had to adapt to constant and quick change in order to meet the needs of our residents while keeping them as safe as possible.

This involved changing from a dine-in model to a delivery model. We even set up an on site Country store for commonly needed items when transportation to grocery stores was not possible.

Staff had to cover a number of duties not in their original job descriptions - from conducting health screenings to making resident welfare and "cheer up" calls during periods of isolation and from making grocery and package deliveries to residents doors to continual cleaning and disinfecting of common areas and surfaces.

Exercise classes on our internal television channel by our SeniorFit instructor, pop up events in the quads, special treat deliveries, video chat enablement and so much more all helped keep our resident's spirits up during this challenging period.

Throughout all of this, our staff stayed focused on our residents and were nothing short of heroes. They rarely complained and come to work each day ready to do what it takes to serve our residents.  We are truly blessed.

Today our staff continue to be regularly trained on infection control protocol and we are ready to respond when health outbreaks may occur.

Our services, as listed throughout this website, may be periodically modified to align with CDC and state/local health department guidelines and requirements as well as local community virus infection rates and staffing.
